Teaching Children to Cook


You must have seen the comedy show “Married with Children”. There are some wonderful insights that are shown by this often dysfunctional family and a few pearls to bring into your every day lives. The same can be said when it comes to cooking with children.

There is little on this earth that can teach you about yourself and the way your children view you as easily as cooking with your children. Of course, this is the perfect opportunity for many of us to let our hair down a little, relax, and have fun in the kitchen. Unfortunately, if you are anything like me, this is a difficult process to say the least. I am a bit of a control freak in my kitchen. It is my domain or sovereign territory so to speak. For this reason it is difficult to give up that little bit of control and hand over the reigns to any one of my children.

On the other hand, I know they are learning important skills that they honestly need to know in life. This knowledge of course doesn’t make it any less difficult when I’m scraping tomato sauce out of places I would never have thought to discover it on my own. If you are considering cooking with children you need to make sure you have the proper ingredients on hand before beginning. You certainly do not want to be caught without that cup full of patience you will be requiring nor do you wish to need to leave in the middle of things for a run to the local grocery store to pick up the missing ingredients.

Another great rule of thumb when it comes to cooking with children is the KISS rule. Keep it simple silly. This rule will help out more than you ever realize. First of all, most children have relatively short attention spans. While they want to learn and help mommy out, they also do not want to have enough time to get bored with the details. Use simple recipes when cooking with children and your chances for success will be much greater than with overly complicated or ingredient intense recipes.

As if this wasn’t enough to absorb another very important rule when it comes to cooking with children is to clean as you go whenever possible. Trust me on this. While there is part of you who will want to put off the task of cleaning the messes that are made until later, or wait till the end and only clean once, this allows the opportunity for messes to layer and compound themselves. Constantly clean throughout the process for the best possible results. You should enlist your children in the cleaning process as well. While it may be easier to do yourself, it is far more important to teach them the basics of cleaning as you go. Remember one day they will more than likely invade your kitchen while you’re not looking.

Cooking with children can be an incredible way to have a fun day if you are able to let go of the control that you too often hold over the kitchen. Have some fun in the kitchen with the children and don’t worry about a little flour and sugar strewn across the floor.


As I think that we must take care about our health and our kid's health from the beginning I chose to make cakes with a little bit sugar and powder, that is why I put down the grate recipe below which is very simple and you can do it with your children

DIABETIC'S  PUMPKIN  PIE

1 baked, cooked 9 inch pie shell
2 sm. pkgs. sugar free instantvanilla pudding c. milk
1 c. canned pumpkin
1 tsp. pumpkin pie spice
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/4 tsp. ginger
1/2 tsp. cinnamon

Blend all ingredients in blender until smooth.  Use plain canned pumpkin.  Do not use canned pumpkin pie mixture.  Pour into pie shell and chill until ready to serve.

We live in a stressful society, I think we can all agree on that.  While men and women suffer from stress, it's many times true that women have more stress coming from more directions than men.  These unique challenges make it very important to get all the information on how women can relieve stress possible.

I don't mean to sound sexist, and the truth is that every situation is different, but when you have a working wife and mother she has the demands of a boss, the demands of her children and their often overloaded schedules, and the demands of her husband.

1.Learn to say no.  Women are often guilty of trying to take care of everyone, except themselves.  The reality is that your heart may be big but your time frame is not.  Sometimes you just can't chaperon that field trip or make those cookies for the bake sale.

As the primary caregivers in many cases women often feel as if they are letting their kids, or spouse, down if they don't jump right in and make it all better.

Take care of yoruself first and the rest will follow.  Remember when you are on a plane and the flight attendant tells you to put the oxygen mask on yourself first, than help others?  This is the real world equivalant of that.

It is ok to say no.  This is one of the most important things many women need to learn.

2.  Take a hike.  I mean it, go for a walk, jog, swim, bike ride, etc.  Get some exercise.  Exercising will keep your body healthy and  it can help you clear your head and blow off steam.

Many women have a hard time letting their frustrations out, we're not brought up to think that it's ok for us to get mad and throw a fit, but it is ok to get strenuous exercise into your daily  routine.  Working up a sweat is a great way of working off steam.

3. Be selfish.  This is somewhat related to step one but in this case I mean take some time for yourself.  Meet your friends for coffee, go for a massage, etc.

And make these times out a priority, don't just fit them in when you can.  Set one day a week, or one hour a week, and have some fun.  Do something just for you and don't feel guilty about it when you do.  You've earned it.

Sensitive Skin Care Products Can Help Or Not


If you are one of the millions of people who have sensitive skin you know how difficult everyday life can be. Even the simplest things, that other people wouldn't have a problem with, can cause your skin to erupt into rashy, itchy, and dry skin. Why You Should Use Exercise To Relieve Stress


It's kind of ironic that two very common problems in our society today are stress and obesity, and that you can find relief for both of these problems with one simple act: exercise.  Yes, it's true, you can exercise to relieve stress.

Your body produces endorphins when you exercise, endorphins can help you feel relaxed and at ease and produce an overall feeling of well being, even euphoria. This is what is referred to as the 'runners high'.   This chemical is actually similar in structure to morphine.

So exercising is a win/win.  We can lose weight, get our bodies more healthy, and relieve stress all at the same time.

Secret Of Before And After Weight Loss



In the nearly eternal quest to lose weight, people seem willing to do just about anything. It has been that way ever since people felt societal pressure to lose weight, and is sure to continue for many years to come. How to Cook Healthy Meals for your Family
